Rated 1 out of 5 by TERRIBLE SLUG I picked this up for deer season had practiced with and had a hard time getting them to group on paper but after multiply boxs i got them to. went hunting with them this weekend shot at a doe and the plastic on the slug cracked and hit about three foot to the left hit the deer blowing a hole in her back legs spine area she tried to drag her self out of the feild shot again and hit her in the neck do not buy save you money and buy Remington sluggers or a rifled slug barrel i will next season. Rated 1 out of 5 by Suck These slugs are GARBAGE, DO NOT BUY THESE SLUGS. I have invested so much time and money into shooting a giant buck and when i finally have one in front of me standing 40 yards broadside the shell misfired and scared the monster buck away. All this could have been avoided if i did not buy the winchesters December 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best ever Winchester is the best ammo we buy, never have a misfire, never have a problem! October 16, 2013

really not suppose to but it wont hurt your gun unless you continue to fire them a lot but buckshot with a full choke might be a better option I would know my state is slugs only

A:
I wouldn't recommend firing slugs out of a full choke barrel. You could possible crack the barrel at the choke or create a dangerous pressure buildup in the barrel. Look for a cylinder or improved choke and you should be good or better yet a rifled barrel.

A:
I would not use any rifled shell with that barrel or choke. Use a regular slug. If you do use a full or Modified choke. You will not be very accurate over 50-75 yards. Your basic slug will reach 100-120 yards better.

it will not shoot as accuretly as it would through a fully rifled barrel. these slugs are designed for long range accuracy and you may not get the results you are looking for at longer distances.

Yes , but you might want to try (rackmaster slugs by winchester) they are made for all barrels. The slugs you have choosen are foster style slugs made mostly for smooth bore barrel's .YOU need sabot style slugs.

A:
These slugs are designed for a smooth bore only, the rifles choke does not work well with this type of slug. the rifling molded into the slug is usually the opposite spin from rifled choke tubes.
