Winchester Super-X High Brass Game Loads Shotshells 4.6 5 14 14
Will Use Nothing Else I have used Winchester shells for years. I used the slugs and regulars shells always. Have I tried others?? Yes and I always go back to Winchester. I just got a slug barrel for my Remmington 870 ( from Bass Pro of course ) and I got 6 boxes of Winchester slugs to got with it. These shells in size 6 are perfect for me for rabbits and other small game. Heavy brush doesn't seem to have any effect (within reason of course and always, saftey first). Winchester ammo has never let me down. February 24, 2008
Squirrel Killer Have used these for years to knock squirrels out of tall hickory trees. They have never let me down. Recoil is about in the middle between regular loads and heavy turkey loads. #5's are just the ticket to bust them out of thick leaves in the top of trees without too much damage. Also will easily take big grouse and pheasant whenever they offer a shot. August 31, 2011
Excellent shell for pheasant I have used the Winchester Super X High Brass for South Dakota pheasants for years. I use a over and under with 5 shot in the first barrel and 4 shot in the second. It definitely does the job if I do mine. Just the right pop to knock down the birds. It has moderate recoil. But honestly who feels recoil when the birds are busting all over! October 21, 2011
Always Performed Good I have always had excellent performance from Winchester Super-X High Brass Shotshells. I have used these to roll squirrels out of the tops of huge oak trees and stop a rabbit running full speed at 40 yards. I always have these Winchester Shotshells in my inventory and I will keep them there as long as the excellent performance continues. March 21, 2009

A:
I have personally used 12 ga #6 2-3/4 loads for Turkeys out to 35 yards using a modified choke and open sights. Your best bet would be to take the gun that your planning on hunting with and shoot a couple practice rounds at distances up to 30 yards and see how your pattern is and that will tell you the effectiveness of that round.

A:
Yes you can use this to hunt turkey, but with a 410 ga. your range is very limited 25 yards or less. It will test your hunting skills. I've used #6 shot size successfully.

This ammo in a six shot is excellent as an all around small game load. I have used it on rabbits, squirrels and pheasants.

I have always used 6 shot for rabbits. If hunting them in thick cover with the shots being close, use a low brass field load. If hunting them in a relatively open area where the shot could be long, use a high brass heavy load.
