Super X BRI slugs offeer maximum performance when fired through rifled barrels. Also works with rifled choke tubes inserted in smooth bore barrel shotguns, but not with the level of performance you will get with a fully rifled barrel. For excellent performance and moderate recoil in rifled barrels, load up with Winchester Super X BRI Sabot Slugs. Shotgun hunters can rely on more than 100 years of Winchester shotshell manufacturing excellence to deliver a buck stopping load of Super X hollow point slugs. Velocities up to 1400 fps. 5 rounds per box.
Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth Trying I have used the 2 3/4'' slugs for several years with good results. They are fairly accurate with a screw in rifled tube in my 11-87. I can cut the same hole at 75 yards with a Hastings Paradox barrel on the same gun. Most of the deer I have shot with these slugs have dropped on the spot or within a few steps of where they were shot. The recoil is not as bad as some other slugs that I have tried. October 24, 2006

Are these slugs lead-free?

A:
No they are lead.

A:
Any slug that is designed to be fired from a rifled barrel is usually lead. Lead will "grip" the rifled barrel and spin allowing for more accuracy. A rifled slug has rifles designed in it, and is meant to spin after it leaves the barrel, so it is meant to be fired from a smooth bore barrel. Hope this helps out.
