Winchester® Bulk Brass Unprimed Rifle Shellcase Metallic Components for Rifles 4.1 5 23 23
good buy this brass is a good buy for the money. 22 hornet brass is getting harder and harder to find and this brass performs well. once in a while you might find a piece damaged in the bag but out of 3 bags that I purchased there was only 1 bad casing. December 6, 2012
Good brass for the cost While not the very best this brass is very good for what it costs. I will continue to buy Winchester brass. I also think the quality is better than it's competitor ...(Rem.) November 15, 2012
No brass compares I have been using Winchester brass for almost 20 years now. I mainly use once fired brass due to cost, but when I need new brass, I only grab Winchester. There are plenty of great quality brass manufactures out there, but for me Winchester has been the most consistent in regards to primer pocket depth, perfectly square, consistent shoulder thickness, good rims and perfectly flat bases. The start of a quality hand load has to start with good brass. Even new brass has to be worked over to turn into match grade ammo. With all the hand loading I have done over the years, I tend to have less issues with Winchester brass than any other brands. I cut apart and test 2 cases out of each 100 round bag I buy. I do this to mainly check the lot for thickness of the shoulders and the base of the case. They have to be perfect in every way, consistent thickness and no cracks etc. If a case were to rupture, it will happen in those two places more than any other place. This gives me the added assurance of quality accurate and safe ammo at the same time. I try to get every reload possible out of a case before I risk integrity of the case. With my prairie dog loads in 223, I can average about 8-10 loadings out of a case. My match and hunting 308 ammo I can get around 6-7 loadings. Not knock any other companies, but my numbers go way down with the other two major supplies of brass. When the cost per round of my 308 match ammo is so high, being able to save some money on the brass is always a plus. Winchester brass is one of the safest brass manufactures on the market. Quality is bar none and price is low too. If your looking to switch brands, or just new to reloading, give Winchester a shot. You will be glad you did. September 20, 2012
Just the ticket for reloading I just got this rifle in .280 and found out brass is hard to come by. Was surprised that it was offered at Bass Pro and they actually had it in stock. Now I will have brass to reload without all the hassle. Thanks Bass Pro you came through again.... May 28, 2012
