Rated 5 out of 5 by WallyB Very good knife
I bought this knife to have it with me for safety when hunting-we are not allowed to carry handguns, in addition to bear pepper spray. Even though I have not used it yet, the knife is very high quality. The steel is super and the knife is very sharp

It's big, but it's excellent quality. Excellent value for the money if you like big Bowie knives. I'm very happy with mine.

I got one of these based on the price, Winchester name, and the cool look. I've used it on a handful of occasions as a mini machete while clearing saplings, brush, and small trees from my property. The blade is big and sharp. Even after grounding the blade on rocks and chain link fences, it still holds a dangerous edge. The material is solid enough, however, the steel is machine forged and has a very slight bow to the blade (have to look close on mine to detect it). The tang is a spear point gladius style riveted into the handle. The wooden handle is not very fancy and looks and feels like a kitchen knife. But it functions just fine along with the lanyard hole which comes in handy when swinging this sucker around. I haven't noticed any stress problems at the tang from chopping but I do make full use of the finger choil for control and heft when applying it. This is NOT a fighting or survival knife. It is very front heavy and unbalanced. The steel is good for small vegetation but probably would not split knotted lumber. So far it has held up well to some minor utility use and appears to be ready for more. I feel it is a good light utility knife for the price, one you can toss in the tool box and not fret over. I wouldn't rely on this for survival or combat but I have no regrets buying it and it has done it's job up till now. Despite the cheap wooden handle, it looks nice too. There are minor cosmetic blemishes such as adhesive near the hilt and scratching on the blade from the plastic / nylon sheath. For the money, it's still a good buy. A great gift for that pesky, six-fingered nephew.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Armystrong1 good looking, big and sharp
When I got it in the mail, it was the best-looking knife I have ever seen in my life. I should know I have seen and have hundreds of different kinds of knife and this knife is at the top. so if you are looking for a good quality knife that is good looking and big and has a great knife holder this is the one . The one that bass pro offer is not good at all the knife holder is week and fall apart and the knife isn’t that good looking also plus it doesn’t stay sharp for long.
