they are NOT nickle plated. They are your average cheaper round with a very thin coper coating and brass case. ( most of the brass casings have pit marks all over them :/ ). The problem with these rounds is the bullet itself is usually loose in the casing. What this does is when the bullet goes to load it gets bent crooked from the casing causing jams. Also they have issues with bad primers that wont fire. I would go with a different brand as of lately winchester's quality control is terrible on these.

They appear to be copper plated. They fed well into my Ruger SR22 but failed to cycle my slide almost 3-8 times per magazine of 10. I did have 4-5 cases that did not extract but they may be due to my extractor and/or the gun heating up.
