Wow, I couldn't believe the other review so I had to write my own!! I've SLAYED fish with this lure. Fiji, HUGE GT's, Costa Rica-, Roosters, Tuna, Dorado, wahoo.. Its THE lure all my Captains ask for to bring!!
The prior review must have had a wahoo cut his lure in half, as I have had some vicious strike from wahoo on this lure. And having THE BEST customer service you have, I would almost bet you either refunded his money or gave him a replacement lure. Get the smaller one (2oz) for most fishing in the Pacific unless your going for Huge GT's then the bigger one is the bomb!!

While casting in the pacific for snapper/jacks/roosters/amberjacks this brand new popper broke it's head off when a fish striked.

The line tie is not through-wire construction. The manufacturer utilizes a line tie that incorporates a swivel which reduces leverage when fighting fish. It is attached within the body using heavy duty, stainless steel pins. The JP7 is rated at 300lb at the tie and JP5 200lb.1 of 1
