Rated 1 out of 5 by Save that $100 towards something else!!! I bought this range finder to use while golfing . I got it and started palying with it to see how it works and I thought it was great. As soon as I got on the course, the battery was dead. It is hard to pick up smaller targets and then once you get a reading, the battery is dead. It eats those expensive batteries candy. Dont even think about buying this! August 19, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worhless I purchased the range finder, thinking OK it is cheap but only need it for bowhunting. It did not come with a battery which the instructions said it did. After purchasing a battery used it twice and it quit working. Also it was inaccurate at 32 yards by 2 yards. I have an old first generation bushnell that is more accurate this this model. I will be returning the rangefinder for a refund and purchasing a higher quality one. My suggestion is don't buy it if you want a reliable rf. August 18, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by So far So Good... I recently purchased this range finder during the big August Sale. I read lots of reviews on the Wild Game range finders and i was really attracted to the price but the reviews were turning me away. I finally decided that for $79 bucks with the rebate was too good of a deal not to try it out. I must say that so far it has done everything i expected it to. I read reviews about batteries only lasting an hour and so far the battery is holding up great. I used it straight none stop for 3 days on purpose to see if i could wear the battery out like the reviews say but have been unsuccessful. I also read another review about ranges being wrong and inconsistent, again it has worked fine for me. I use it strictly for bow hunting so i don't range far but i have purposely gone out in the neighborhood and ranged things at far distances just to try it out and it works every time. My only critique is that in low light conditions it is hard to see the black box that is the target pointer. If it was red it would be great but hey it was a 79$ range finder! Its one button use is super easy, just hit it one time and and its on and ranging for you. I will continue to use it everyday to keep testing it out but so far I am very pleased with my purchase. You simply cant find a better deal. I don't know if it matters but i purchased a CR2 battery for it at Interstate batteries for 4.95 and it was a lithium battery. Maybe that helps... all in all so far its been exactly what i needed and it didn't break the bank. August 18, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst purchase ever This range finder is at the bottom of the barrel. I purchased the Halo on a saturday night and by tues. of the next week it failed to even come on. I have used other RF and the weight of a quality RF speeks volumes!! The Halo is cheap and inconsistant!! I gave it 1 star because 0 stars was not an option. August 13, 2010

With most range finders you could. But I doubt you could find a halo that would work properly. These are the worst that I have ever seen.
