Wicked Ridge Crossbow I bought this crossbow because of the great deal Bass Pro had it on sale for. It is my first crossbow, and I had no idea what to expect. When it arrived and I began to test it, I thought I had made a mistake. It didn’t seem to hit in the same place twice. I finally watched the instructional video that came with it, and did a little further research online about crossbow accuracy. Now that I have corrected all the things I was doing wrong, it shoots like a charm. I’ve only had it two days, and not yet tested it at 40 yards, but out to 30 it is super accurate. One caveat: It is accurate with the aluminum arrows that came with it. I had ordered some carbon arrows for it, but I could not get them to shoot as well. I’m confident that it can be made to shoot well with carbon arrows, I just haven’t had the time yet to work with it. Ten Point bows have some features I really like, such as the DFI safety (a feature which prevents dry firing the bow). Though I haven’t ordered it yet ($150 seems a little steep to me), the optional draw cord cocking mechanism which attaches to the stock is a great idea. The bow is well camouflaged, and the scope was already mounted and rough sighted. Also, the trigger is super. The bottom line is I am very happy with this crossbow. September 26, 2014
Wicked Ridge Crossbow When I was 18 years old I started to hunt with a bow and arrow, and graduated to a compound and over the years bought better compound bows. Till most recently found when attempting to draw back on a nice size doe to put meat on the table, I realized I couldn't draw my bow back. That's when it hit me that I was not only older than the draw weight of my bow, having two torn rota-tor cuffs, and carpal tunnel in my right wrist,it had been close to two years without even drawing my bow back. To say the least Didn't get to take the shot , Not a total loss though I can honestly say I let this one go. A couple of weeks latter I was at bass Pro looking at crossbows and Had a young man help me pick out a crossbow A Ten Point Wicked Ridge Warrior HL. When I told him of my shoulders and wrist He said no problem We'll set you up with the Pull ropes to cock the crossbow.when I asked about the bows accuracy and longevity he reassured me that this was an excellent choice, and had the least number of returns to the store,One in the last two years. All others had quite a few. And one brand had a recall on theirs at the time. He set up the crossbow for me and he took it to the small range in back had me sign a waiver and he loaded the crossbow and shot the first bolt to see to it all was good. Then let me load with the Rope and lock it load a bolt , before letting me shoot it asked what I was going to aim at . I remember 7 red dots on the bails two rows of three parallel to the floor and one red dot in the middle of the two rows the dots were only about the size of a cigarette butt in diameter. free handed I held it up took aim squeezed off a shot. The center dot disappeared. Since then I've gone to the range and practiced at 20, 30, 40 yards, and the groups are within a 6 inch circle free handed. now with the steady stick the group tightened to one inch at twenty yards and two inches at 30 and 3 inches at forty yards. Now I can't wait for deer season to roll around I just got my crossbow permit. I would recommend this crossbow to everyone. June 17, 2014
Great Bought this crossbow a week ago. Sighted it in at 20, 30, and 40 yards. WOW!!! Right out of the box hit bulls eye at all yardages. Tried it at 50, took a couple of shots, but bulls eye again. My grandson was watching and he could not believe it!!!!!!!!! January 14, 2014
Good not Great My wife bought this crossbow for me for a "surprise" b-day gift. The product is good quality. The only only problem I have with it is that it will not group well @ 50 yards. The whole purpose for me getting a crossbow is to be able to shoot accurately @ 50 yards or more. Its great @ 30 and 40 yards but drops tremendously @ 50 yards. December 26, 2013
