I would give this a 5 star rating if it had slotted foam on both sides. I don't like the ribbed foam, seems cheap and will tear over time. Yes, its 1/2 the price of a Cliff Beast, but it's only about 2/3 the box. PLEASE Bass Pro, offer replacement slotted foam inserts so I can make this the perfect box!

This box is every bit as durable/practical as Cliff's Bugger Beast box at nearly half the price. It's a great alternative to traditional fly boxes when you're fishing from boats.

This is a very nice case to hold my homemade poppers. Nice height to not destroy the hackle and feathers. The slotted side is great because you dont have to destroy the foam. Great smallmouth fly box. Just a little smaller than i would like.

I have 4 of these boxes and use them in my river smallmouth guide service. I especially like the slotted foam feature. The fly hook slides into the slot and the foam does not tear each time a fly is removed. The closure clips and hinges are exceptional quality, very well made boxes.
