White River Fly Shop Trout Net 3.3 5 9 9
Good Purchase I bought this net last year and it lasted me the entire spring, summer and fall seasons, with promise of more great seasons to come. This is a great net. Because of its lightweight wood frame, if you drop it in the water it will float, unlike its metal counterparts. I do a lot of fly fishing in those hard to reach rivers and streams. Thus, I do a lot of hiking through woods and thick brush just to get to them. To avoid damage to the net, do not walk through thick brush with the net hanging from your vest or pack. If you do this, you will find that any branch, twig, thorn or pricker will grab a hold of the net; possibly resulting in torn threads or annoying tangles. I recommend keeping the net in the back pouch of your vest or pack to keep this from happening. I would recommend this classic trout net to anyone. It hasn't let me down yet. March 23, 2008
For ten bucks you can't go wrong. This is a fine net for the beginner. If you're looking for something to hang off of your back so you look like a pro then this is the ticket. Sure you can spend hundreds on fancy schmancy exotic hardwood nets, but this job here is made out of good ol' plywood and does the job just fine. It won't win any beauty contests, but it nets fish and does its job. May 17, 2009
Will not disappoint I purchased this at my local Bass Pro because I wanted a lightweight small net to take wading. The net is better quality than expected, and it has lasted dozens of fishing trips, so far. The supplied elastic lanyard is long enough that I generally wear the net around my neck while hiking and slung over my shoulder while fishing. As a bonus, since it's made of wood, it floats. A great buy! April 23, 2009
Could be better I am actually really disappointed in this net. I would have to say spend the extra $20 and buy something better. I have only had this thing in the water 2 times, and already the net is coming untied from the stitching around the wooden hoop. Have had to tie it both times I come in from the water. It works good at netting fish with the big opening, but the net is falling off. September 28, 2010

Yes, the net connector is a little clip. I used it to clip directly to my waders.

Yes, it even comes with a black detachable elastic lanyard, but you could attach your own, as well.

This net has a string that runs about 2 feet out to it that can be clipped on or taken off the net.
