Bought 2 - 25 packs size 18. I don't find hooks dull or brittle. They work fine for me.
BUT - the package isn't a tight seal. It has a good 1/2 inch gap at the top on the sides. So when I got home and emptied the shopping bag I found about a dozen size 18 hooks loose in the bottom of the shopping bag. Out of the 50 hooks, I lost about 5 because of the poor packaging. Size 18 hooks are hard to find when mixed up in a shopping bag with a bunch of other stuff.

These are by far some of the worst hooks I have ever used. To call these hooks dull would be a compliment. Additionally, they are very brittle and the hooks points break off very easily, perhaps even in your vice. Bottom line is if you like wasting your time tying flies on hooks that break and miss fish, then by all means buy some of these hooks.
