I've used these clamp/scissors every time I've fished for the last year or so. I've tried other hook removers and these can't be beat. The scissors cut my line fine. A great tool to always have when fishing.

I bought this product because I wanted a tool that could both help get hooks out of fish and cut line and tippet. The pliers appear to be fine, but the whole reason I purchased this product was to get both functions in one tool. The scissors CANNOT cut line at all. You are better off using your teeth. Spend half the money and get a pair of pliers and avoid this product.
