deadly on bronze backs!!!!! i bought these fly jigs mainly because the unbeatable price, but when i tried them out, i knew i had the best deal i could find. i have used these in several small streams for smallmouth and caught a few keepers (one 2 1/2lber), but they work just as well in lakes for largemouth and crappie. in streams, i like to have a slow and gentle retrieve to mimic baitfish, and jig it off the bottom in lakes for those deep largemouth and crappie. as far as color goes, i always stick with natural colors. give these flies a try and you'll have some rod-bending action. Panfish Catchers I've given these jigs quite a workout with my 7 weight fly rod. I have honestly lost count of the number of sunfish, rock bass and perch that I've caught this spring using these jigs. I've even caught a 26" pike on one. My only complaint is nothing to do with the fish catching abilities of these jigs - it is with the term "assortment". I'm disappointed that the colours and sizes are not mixed i.e. all the yellow jigs are of one size, all the black jigs are one size. The only colour that is of more than one size is white. I wish now that I had ordered the jigs individually. Aside from that - I love these jigs! May 27, 2010

Fantastic! I noticed some hefty bluegill hitting the top, so I tied a #10 on (Brown). With a fast retrieve (strip-strip-strip-strip-pause-repeat) About 2 inch strips at a time. Fish sinks my, line, and I start pulling it in. Whats on the other end? a HUGE crappie! 16'' about. I give it another go, and bam, another hit. 2.5lb Bass! Out of the same spot! Amazing! Don't underestimate the size. June 15, 2010
