This product is made well of good quality material however the size rating of 5 inches does not come close to being large enough to cover a fly reel on a rod that has a diameter of 4 inches.

I used this reel bag for a mid-arbor reel, which fit pretty well. It does provide a lot of protection. The only short coming is the the flap that closes over the reel is a little short which makes it hard to attach to the velcro

This reel pouch is awesome. Fits nicely and protects the reel while taking to the river to fish or storing between trips. It also works well, if storing a spare spool between trips or to and from the river. All round great item.

I really like this reel pouch. I have it on a large arbor 3.9 inch diameter 8wt reel. Its a tight fit but it works great. I use the rod sock and the reel covers on my 2 piece setups for saltwater.
This is what I use for rod and reel storage to and from the fishing hole. It's cheap and effective.
