These feathers are good quality. They are uniform in both size and shape. They are perfect for tying the float and fly jig for winter smallmouth.

though mallard lacks the barring that real wood duck has it is a good enough substitute for the real thing i also find that the mallard tend to have more curvature in the feathers probably has to deal with the fact they are not as selectivly sorted
lets put it this way for the guy that dosen't put wings on his dry flys they work just fine

Good alternative to wood duck feathers and there are way more for a cheaper price... but wood duck feathers look better.
