White River Fly Shop Hobbs Creek Rubber Bag Landing Net
Best net for price
This net is great for soft releases and quick pics of wild spring creek trout that I mostly fish for
It also has a wide opening for the occasional pig

this net proved to be just as good as any $100+ net

I am almost positive this is the same net as the Cortland version which I picked up for $19 at my local shop...
First impression is that its much lighter than my old net which was a deep basket and thicker rubber netting, which was overkill. The handle is longer than other nets, which is a bonus...
For the price, I don't see why someone would spend $90 for the same net with different wood material....it blows my mind that people purchase this exact same net when the only difference is the wood its made of which doesn't matter at all. All about personal preference I guess, but when you slip on a rock and land on your net and bust it, a $20 replacement feels better than a $90 one.

Great for the price
It's a cheap net in a market where good nets sell for as much as 5 or 6 times this price. For the price, this net can't be beat. I bought this to replace a standard woven landing net. I began having problems getting hooks/barbs caught in that one. The rubber nets don't have this problem. This style is easier on the fish too. Oh, by the way... This is an 8 inch deep net which is the size I prefer. There are others out there that are 12 inches deep, which is just too deep, has too much net flopping around and sticks out too far to be easy to use or safe to hang on your back.
