Never be caught short-handed again! This versatile 5 piece, 7'6" graphite travel rod is equipped a reversible handle that allows it to convert from a 5/6 weight fly rod to a spinning rod that will handle 1/32 - 3/8-oz. baits. Ideal for float trips and other fishing trips where space may be limited, the kit also includes an adjustable spring-and-pawl fly reel with backing, weight-forward floating fly line and a high-quality spinning reel pre-loaded with line. Includes a protective Cordura case for easy transport. Imported.

Rated 2 out of 5 by So-So components Luckly, I picked this up on sale. The spinning reel has held up, and I was able to pull in some 1-2# fish. Easy maintenance to clean, since I do mostly saltwater fishing. It handled a trip to Hawaii and did decent with on Papio. No issues with the spinning reel. However, I've since replaced it with a Mitchell 308x that I picked up @ Basspro for $18. The fly reel is useless. The drag is a wire spring on a sproketed gear. The drag assembly is pretty weak and falls apart on me every outing. Plus, if you need any drag, there's no direct drag on the spool. Also, very noisy. Rod is pretty good, it's very loose, more like a 4wt rod than a 4wt. I was tossing a clouser with a 3/16 lead eye. Pull many fish in and overall it performed. I mostly hand retrieved the line in rather than using the fly reel. March 13, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by supurb i have used this product many times.i have landed decent redfish and snook on this.both reels work good for me but i swithced the line on the spinning rod to 10 lb test power pro. March 2, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Starter Kit Gave 3 outfits to my nieces ages 8-11 for a Yellowstone trip this summer. All caught fish on the Madison River fly fishing with the rods which worked very well. It was good to know that they could convert to spinning techniques if needed. The kit comes fully supplied except for leader and lures/flies The fly reel and spinning reels are good quality and the rod has a moderate to moderate fast action.with good build quality as well for the price point...especially when it was on sale!.
