I use this tippet for bass fishing. Holds up very well including fish that take you down into the weeds and such. Its quite strong and ties good knots. I haven't used it in any of the lighter trout diameters. But the heavier stuff works very well for bass and bowfin too!

Used 10# for salmon fishing in New York Oct 12 in 50 degree weather and landed a 40"/23# and 38"/17#. The fight was on each fish for over 15 minutes each with one going under a log and having to net her from the other side. The line performed better than expected and thought I would break off the way I had to lean on them every so often. After running up and down the stream I had to drag the 40# of fish a mile up hill to the car but it was worth it. I now have purchased 8# and 6# test for Steelhead fishing and am anxious to see how it holds up in 30 degree weather as it will not stretch as much as it dit at 50 degrees. I usually switcm to straight Mono at 30 degrees to prevent line break. As fluorocarbon this is the best I have used.
