I read the previous reviews before making my purchase and it paid off. I purchased these boots and like the previous review, no breaking in period, went up a half size because of the wader sock, perfect fit. Wore them all day stream fishing and was never once uncomfortable. Thanks Brass Pro Shops, great boot!

I recently bought these wading boots and I'm very happy with them so far. I read reviews before deciding on buying them. I was previously wearing a mens size 6 wading boot which i found to be so uncomfortable. My regular shoe size is 7 with a medium width. I ordered the womens size 7. They fit well with the stocking foot waders and also with the neoprene booties. They accommodate both well. I do stream fishing with my husband which requires traversing some difficult terrain. I've climbed rocky banks and gone through thick brush and the boots are holding up well. I also have been able to handle slippery rocks in the stream . I am happy I bought these boots. They are made to fit a women"s foot. I should have bought these first instead of being talked into a men's boot at a sporting good store.

They worked out great for the money. I wear a 7.5 and I ordered an 8. Perfect for the waders, and 2 pairs of socks. Great buy.

Are these sizes actual shoe sizes or do they take into consideration the water stockings?

I wear a size 7 med regular shoe. I ordered a size 7 in this boot and it fits well with my neoprene booties and the stocking foot wadersA:Â
If you wear a size 8 shoe, you wear a size 8 wader boot-- they take into consideration the bulk from the waders. That being said, I'd stil recommend trying them on in the store with your waders (if at all possible) to get the best fit.A:Â
I bought these boots in a women's 8 and I wear 7 to 7 1/2.I think the boot takes into consideration the space to be occupied by the neoprene of your stockingfoot waders.
So, yes, the boot is somewhat larger than a normal hiking boot of the same size. These boots are only whole sizes - too bad, I wish they made them in half sizes. If you're a whole size in your normal shoe, I'd say try the same size in this wading boot. But if you're a half size, go up to the next whole size.
(Sometimes, I needed boots to use quickly and have ordered one size and the next bigger size, then returned the one that doesn't fit. In this case, I just ordered an 8 and it's OK.)
