White River Fly Shop® Extreme Wading Shoes for Men
Extreme Wading Shoe
This pair of wading boots may be the best I have ever worn. I am 73 years and I fish mostly in Michigan rivers. My piscatorial addiction is to Brown trout, Rainbows and an occasional Brookie 12 months a year. We have the distinct privilege of being able to catch and release all species on certain designated rivers 366 days a year. My balance isn't quite what it used to be and I have fallen victim to my waders suddenly becoming half full of very cold water. I finally got smart and began installing sheet metal screws in the soles of my boots. At the time of my " Epiphany", wading shoes with studs were way out of my allotted fishing budget.
One of my sons-in-law asked me one day if I would recommend a pair of waders and boot combination. That very day we visited the Auburn Hills BPS in Auburn Hills Mi. We talked about the options available and I suggested some White River stocking foot waders, because I wear them and I have been very pleased with their performance. And, because of my "expert" testimony he purchased a pair of White River wading boots to go with the waders. He will get an opportunity to test his new equipment the third week of Oct. when he and I go fishing for some "big, wild, Mich. Salmon.

I went through a pair of wading shoe yearly.
I had the felt sole white river shoe before, it the felt bottom failed me after 3 month of usage.
Then I had another pair of guideline rubber wading shoe. It last me one year, the rubber was very slippery in the water.
Got this whiteriver extreme wading shoe in basspro spring sale. I am impressed how well this shoe perform in the water. If you have problem with other rubber sole shoe in the water, you will be impressed by this one. The stub really makes difference. It just performs as well as (or better) than felt shoes.
I will give it 4 starts for now. if it lasts me one year, then I will give it a 5 stars (durability based on my experience).

These boots are great! I wear a size 12 boot, I ordered a size 12 boot. Wore them in very cold water with 2 pairs of socks( one was thick wool) and the stocking foot of the wader, and was still good to go. Had a little toe wiggle room. Even trying them on without the 2 pairs of socks, the fit was great. I am Very pleased with this purchase! Great traction as well! Was in the Salmon River, slippery rock! Crossed the river 4 times(sketchy!!!) and held fast to what I was stepping on. Buy em, you'll like em.

I bought them because they were on sale and now states are banning felt soles. Plus my felts were going down hill after four years. My first trip with them was to western va mountain native trout streams. They worked great for the hikes in and gripped the boulders great. Have used them here in Pa and have no problems on any type of stream. Just a little bit worried about how long they will hold up, Easyist boot I have owend to put on and take off if you buy one size up from what you normaly wear.
