An outstanding value for every dry fly tier, these Dry Fly Hackle Mini Packs from White River Fly Shop® are a great way to load up on a wide variety of appropriately sized high-quality, genetic hackle. Because our Dry Fly Hackle Mini Packs are pre-sized, you won't have a host of extra hackle that is either too large or too small cluttering your fly tying work area. The Dry Fly Hackle Mini Packs are also ideal for traveling tiers as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mini Packs Mini is the key here, super small, very little material. I will in the future buy bulk hackle and use the small feathers. August 25, 2011

I need a bit of hackle for some experimenting, but enough to practice somewhat on my newest flies, and I was wondering how many flies I can expect to tie with one Mini Hackle.

Not many, and the hackle says 14/16 but I would say more like 20/22. By mini they mean mini. I tied some #20 gnats and the hackle length is not much more than the herl.

i would say a pack will give you around 25 to 40 usable feathers each feather a fly .basically what white river(ewing in this case) does is take a cut right out of a neck and say there is your mini pack .so you might have a part that was thick or one that was lack luster. i will tell you the blue dun is actual blue like a pair of jeans (at least at my bps) and not a blue tinted grey
