the hackles have the lenght of good hackles but seemed light on barbles and somewhat webby wonder who's hackle it is . that being said it will float a fly but for the money you can get a good pro grade herbert minter or collins and for a few dollars more get into some really nice hackles as far as conranch or collins 2s good wooly hackles though

I just bought one of these in grizzly pattern from the local Bass Pro shop and it is great hackle. Every feather on the cape is usable.
The color pattern on each feather is outstanding!

the longest feathers may be around 5 inches long but will also be a good 3/4 in at the base of the feather . and the lenght will run down to the point where you belive it is just a fury thread off of your shirt1 of 1
