I fish from a kayak and needed a solution for holding all my gear and flies close by without having them on the deck waiting to either foul my line or get thrown to see by it. I read about various packs and decided upon this one. Unfortunately, BPS seems to have discontinued this pack. My local store here didn't have one, but luckily they were able to check the inventories of other stores and gave me a list. After calling several who had inventory control issues, I hit paydirt. I was able to purchase it over the phone and have it delivered. It is an amazing value. The pouches are larger than I thought, the construction is very sturdy, and it's a lot more comfortable than you'd think. If you're looking for a pack to carry your gear, get this one. Although, I think it might be easier to find the A-Team or Holy Grail. P.S.: BassPro, UN-DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!

First I'm not a fly guy,yet. ultra light spinning and 2lb test. Catch and release. Purchased this product as I was tired of the fanny pack while wading streams and lakes. Took alot of guff from family, ha keep laughing, product worked great, stayed dry, held all my gear, opens for a small work shelf. absolutly great purchase. Highly recommend

Holds a lot of gear and adjustable neck strap is great as I'm 6'7" and I can place the pack anywhere between my neck and waist.

The zippers themselves are metal, yes. But as long as you take a few minutes after each saltwater outing to rinse it well, it should last you a long time.
