Excellent Creel This creel did a great job of keeping our trout cool. In fact, when I pulled the trout out of the creel to take this picture, they actually felt cold! Glad I purchased this item and highly recommend it! April 9, 2011
awsome canvas creel OVER THE YEARS I HAVE HAD CREELS THAT WERE OK AND CREELS THAT WERE, WHY DID I BUY THAT. ANYHOW THIS CANVAS CREEL IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. I REALLY LIKE THAT THE ENTERIOR IS INSULATED, KEEPING THE FISH COOLER THAN OTHER CREELS I HAVE OWNED. THE ADJUSTABLE SHOULDER STRAP IS LONG ENOUGH FOR THE TALLEST PERSON. UNLIKE MANY OTHERS. THE VELCRO AND BUCKLE CLOSURE IS GREAT. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY TROUT JUMP OUT. THE ONLY THING THIS CREEL LACKS IS AN EXTERIOR STORAGE POCKET..I WOULD BUY ANOTHER IN THE FUTURE.. THANKS FOR A GREAT CREEL April 27, 2011
Good Creel for Good Price I bought this Creel for a yearly Camping/ Fishing trip. There's about 1.5 miles of hiking or trekking threw the wildness. I usually carry all my fish on a stringer or place them in a net. Not a very efficient way of carrying them because they sway on the stringer and get dirty hitting the surround terrain. WELL NOT ANYMORE! I can place around 5 12 inch trout I catch in the creel with room to spare. The adjustable strap makes it comfortable enough. The material inside helps keeps the temperature down to keep the fish cold. And the holes in the bottom helped keep water in for freshness and water out for walking. Before I caught any fish, I’d place water bottles in it. To give you an idea of how many I could fit inside was about 4 or 5 water bottles standing up vertically. This was an excellent purchase. When I read the reviews I understood there were no pockets. So not having pockets wasn’t a surprise so it didn’t sway my thoughts on the creel itself. August 23, 2013
Awesome This creel for money, is extremely well made. I'm tough on equipment and the creel has performed flawlessly in stream this season. Only change I would like to see to creel is velcro on pocket opening instead of single clip. Would recommend this creel for any fisherman. April 13, 2011

Probably silly question. I bought to keep trout fresh on the river. It says keep wet. Do you need ice or do you just put the fish in there and dunk it in the water every now and then?

A:
They should be kept wet while in use by simply dipping them in the water.
There are weep holes in the bottom to allow excess water to drain out after
dipping into the water.
There is also a screen print on the front of this item that states - "Keep wet while in use "

Its just a big pouch. Theres a buckle for security, but it also has 2 velcro spots to keep it closed. So it never just flies open.

The creel has a snap and velcro. You do not have to snap and unsnap it every time as it has velcro. If you are fishing for feisty fish, like some of the trout I used it for, it was nice to have the additional quick release buckle.

I like it. Check out my review. Shoulder strap is adjustable. Pretty sturdy. If i didnt fill the Creel with Water bottles or too may fish i could wear it for long periods of time. Super easy to use. I fit in 3 watter bottles and my worm container and a fishing reel. When i hit the water all that stuff would be wet since its at waist level. But this Creel will sink. Holes in the bottle for water flow. NO POCKETS. Just one big pouch.
