This design utilizes the best elements of a large arbor chassis, while still providing generous backing capacity for traditional Dacron® braids. The in-line multi disk drag is enhanced by a one-way roller bearing, and features a precise 720 degree range of adjustment. Includes drawstring bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Value Looked at others in the 200+ range and this is what I chose instead. Excellent bearings, ultra smooth action. Knurled (grippy) drag knob for my big mitts. Excellent sealed drag system. Well made... forged then machined . Fit and finish is excellent. More reel than I can fish for sure. Its a beauty September 13, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent This is one fine fly reel. I was given this reel to use in the Championship for The Total Outdoorsman Challenge 2011 and let me tell you it did the job. Those trout in Dogwood Canyon didnt know what hit them. I would recomend this reel to anyone serious enough to take on those monsters in Dogwood or anywhere the trail takes them. Pair this reel with the 5/6 9ft 270 fly rod and you will have one piece of equipment you can cherish for years. September 12, 2011

Can use left handed if you can retrieve counterclockwise and feed line from the top of the reel rather than conventional bottom feed.

Try checking out the white river classic ultralight reel. It has a click and pawl drag but palming the reel will provide more than enough pressure to handle the odd big fish
