This rod is has been my workhorse rod for the past 5-6 years. I primarily use it for Panfish and small Largemouth Bass. It performs exceptionally well for me. It's got the right action for a quick set and my 4wt has landed 5lb'ers with no problems.
The dozen or so times I've taken it to the mountains ir has performed equally well. Often out performing my much more expensive Sage. I prefer this rod to everything that I have tried that I can afford.
A great buy, especially for the price.

I have 3 classic rods(8wt, 6wt, and 3 wt). All have preformed very well and are very well made. This rod rivals those costing 2-3 times more.

I just purchased a 5 wt 8'6" TFO for $149. Fairly stiff and fast and comes with a lifetime warrenty! It isn't a Sage TCR, but for the price it has been a good rod!1 of 1
