White River Fly Shop Ceramic Bobbin
Five out of six were clogged
I bought one, took it home, tried to load a spool - couldn't get the wire through the ceramic tip. Under a magnifying glass could clearly see there was no opening in the ceramic end - either end!
So I drove 22 miles back to BP and they told me to pick another from the display rack as an exchange - simple, right? Five out of the six on the rack were clogged - the sixth was open
It works OK, but before you leave BP, make sure the one you picked is open.

Good Value Bobbin
In my old age I've just taken up fly tying. I have a couple of other ceramic bobbins of a more expensive brand and find the White River one to be better value for money for the type of tying I am doing. I'm tying mainly Saltweter flies and at this stage have only tied about 100 flies so it is early days.

White River Ceramic Bobbin is poor
Tied three or maybe four flies at the most and the ceramic ring at the fly end of the tube popped out. as of yet I have had no luck in cementing it back in place. I will see if BPS will accept it as a returned item as I did not keep the packageing. I'll let you know.
