All three were real tight and when I attempted to adjust them to spool easier, they now spool to easy and I cant seem to get them to a neutral spot to work easier. Must be some poor metal or I was just unlucky.

This product preformed well in use. It was easy to adjust tenssion on tread spool, and the flared ends prevented chafing on the thread.

Be warned that this bobbin, is not the same one that came in a kit for tying regular jigs. This one is nice, and it works fine, I just pointing out that its very small in size. Made for FLY tying.

I don't know if I can write that much, but here goes. This product will do whatever job you put it to work on. I like the belled ends on the bobbins as they restrict any scraping of the thread. It's just smoother working. This is beneficial as you remaiin more relaxed in what you are doing.

Item 38-491-455-00 is a heavy duty bobbin use for thicker material like heavy threads and tinsel, also people have their preference in using this tool.Whereas item 38-431-142-05 is a standard bobbin use for lighter material like threads.
