Very Pleased! I am extremely pleased with this arrow saw. It is very well built, easy to set up, and produces a very clean cut. There are two methods for cutting: through cuts and roll cuts. I decided to use the roll cut method to achieve a more precise cut and a cleaner cut. I cut both carbon shafts and aluminum shafts and got a nice clean cut with both. I did notice that the aluminum shaft would bog down the motor if you apply too much pressure, so I would simply let off a little bit. It took me about two revolutions of the arrow shaft to cut through the carbon arrows and about three for the aluminum arrows. Again, this is because I felt that I could get a cleaner, more precise cut using the roll cut instead of the through cut (like a chop saw). I would also like to add that the price is fantastic and 5000 rpm is plenty. If you are worried about the motor bogging down, I would suggest Weston's 8000 rpm model. August 5, 2007
Customer Service I noticed when setting up the saw that it appeared the motor wasn't mounted perfectly square to the frame. I emailed Weston pics of the problem and a copy of my receipt. Customer service emailed me back the next morning apologizing for my inconvenience and telling me a new saw was being shipped and to keep the defective saw. You just don't see that kind of customer service anymore. Will post a review of the actual saw as soon as I get the new one. 5 star customer service! February 25, 2013
Good value I bought a Weston Arrow Saw online from Bass Pro Shops. The order went very well and the item showed up 2 days earlier than I was told. I am very happy with the purchase and I have 2 boys that also shoot with me. My 2 boys are 10 and 13 so I am constantly cutting arrows as their draw lenghts increase with growth. Over all I am very satisfied and I will continue to shop at Bass Pro here in Pearland, Tx. and online. October 11, 2010
Weston Arrow Saw 5000 RPM I bought this arrow saw for cutting my own carbon arrows at home so I can control the quality of my own arrows. After cutting my first dozen arrows I can report this saw worked perfectly. I will not be cutting arrows professionally so the saw will see occasional use. Great saw for home use. Tried cutting an old aluminum shaft to see how much the motor bogged down and found the 5000 RPM motor more than sufficient to cut through. The test spin rollers worked good especially for the aluminum shafts. Highly recommend for the archer who likes to do it themselves. March 20, 2009
