This remote digital barbecue thermometer system will help you prevent overdone or underdone feasts from ever happening. Easy to use, you simply insert the thermometer's stainless steel probe into the food, select the meat you are cooking and how done you want it on the remote, and then clip the remote on your belt or apron and go. When the meat hits the temperature range you have selected, the remote beeps, letting you know when your food is done. System offers allow you to choose varied settings from rare to well done for several different meats. Sensor unit uses two AAA batteries. Remote uses two AA batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great purchase I have used this Weber meat thermometer for several years. This past weekend I just cooked 2 Pork shoulders each weighing 19-20 lbs. Cooked using charcoal in a LaCaja China cooking box. Both shoulders came out to perfection. I had several friends come by and inquire about the thermometer. They are going to buy them for Fathers Day gifts or "hint around" they want one for Fathers Day. A great purchase and the price is fantastic. May 29, 2012

The operation temperature range of the sensor probe is -4°F to 482°F (20°C to 250°C). The LCD display range is 0°C/F to 199°C/F. When the display temperature is out of range, the display’s digits flash. Thanks

Have never used it in an oven but dont see why you cannot. I used it in a LaCaja China cookng box. Totally enclosed with the probe in the meat and the wire out the side. The receiver and gauge is outside, so it is the same principal as an oven.

I have used mine in the oven a lot without any problem. Your grill gets just as hot as your oven.

You can place the node in to the meat that you are cooking in your oven to get a read of what the internal temperature is, but do not leave this unit in the oven.
