I've had my Smokey Joe for a few years now. It's the perfect sized grill for one or two people, or if you are cooking an item that requires special attention. It cooks evenly, and uses a minimum amount of charcoal.
I am about to buy a larger model, as my circumstances have improved, and the new addition will certainly be a Weber. I am not about to give up my little Smokey Joe, either.

Only used it once, but so far so good. The grill went together real easy and have not had any complaints yet!

I've owned my Smokey Joe Silver for about 5 years now, and I totally love it. I own a XL stainless steel gas grill, a soker w/ an offset firebox, a park grill, and a vertical smoker - yet I find myself using the Somkey Joe just as much if not moreso than any of the others. It is still in very good condition (I keep all of my grills / smokers covered).
The Smokey Joe "flat-out" gets the J-O-B done! It only takes about 30 charcoal briquets to use w/ the direct grilling method.
It is extremely portable and goes just about anywhere. I use mine everywhere from my backyard, to the beach, to the parks.
The only drawback (which will only be experienced by "beginning grillers") is that the grate is not adjustable. But for those of us who know what we're doing this is no problem; we adjust the grills heat by using the two air dampers.
Did I mention that I love this grill. ; )
