Great gun I have used 500s and 870s for years and love both. Last year, I needed a replacement gun in a pinch, so I headed out to get another 870 or 500. None available at the time as it was right before christmas. I picked up the PA08. To my surprise - excellent gun!. The action is much tighter than the other two and accuracy is just as good if not better. I was impressed. When hunting dove I find myself wanting to use the Weatherby instead of the others. To say the least, I recommend this gun. November 14, 2011
Great Shotgun I bought this in December and have taken it out many times and haven't had any problems. It reminds me of my dads wing master in quality. The finish on it looks great. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a multi use shotgun. It's extremely easy to take apart and clean. There are no tools needed just unscrew the magazine cap and you can pull the action and barrel out. I was a little concerned about finding chokes for it, but that hasn't been a problem. I found all my chokes in stock at bass pro. I've used it for squirrel, rabbit, turkey, geese, and will use it for deer this year. Great gun overall. May 20, 2014
I love my Weatherby My wife bought be this shotgun for Christmas a couples years ago. I use it mainly for skeet shooting and it is an excellent specimen for such occasions. It is very attractive too with the walnut stock and finish. I would definitely recommend this shotgun to anyone! I absolutely love it! July 20, 2011
Great gun I purchased this gun a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. Gave it a good cleaning and lube and headed straight to the local sporting clay range. Pump is nice and smooth and accuracy was bang on. Two or three times it almost jammed on me but never stopped me from getting the next shot off. I put over a hundred shots off that first day and ended up with a new personal high. I did plenty of research on several guns in this price range and always came back to the weatherby. A good friend has a Remington 870 express and I did have that at the top of my list, but then I shot it ( at least tried to shoot it ) and couldn't believe how rough it was. It jammed up 8 times on ten shots and then jammed a hull two inches up the barrel. The wood stock beautiful and shoulders great. Figure the action will only improve with time and proper maintenance. Skip the Remington and pickup the weatherby and you will not be disappointed. Having three chocks come with it is just a great bonus. February 16, 2013

Weatherby only lists this rifle with the chrome-lined barrel. You would need to contact Weatherby for the blued barrel availability.

Jam a lot, not at all. It works great. Keep it clean and oiled and I have not had a problem. As far as left handed, I am really not sure.

You can use buckshot instead.
But if you want slugs, then go into gun parts on the bass pro shops site. Choose all and go to replaceable barrels. Any different gun brand is good.

automatic no jams faster shots safer because you have your hand slide back while pumping there goes a finger plus automatic more accurate because not as many moving parts

I was just wondering what the major differences are between this model and the model shown for $299.99?
And is this a resonable gun for a introductory model?

Thanks
