The Weatherby® PA-08 12 Gauge w/28" Barrel Upland Shotgun is an easy-to-use, no-nonsense designed, dependable in the field pump action that is generally regarded as the "4x4" of field guns. The Turkish-made PA-08 features a single action bar design that is straightforward, overbuilt and made for round after round of high-volume action. Comes with a 3" chamber, 4 + 1 capacity, chrome-lined barrel and three application-specific choke tubes (IC, M, F). Brass bead front sight. Color: Walnut stock with gloss finish.

I purchased this gun a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. Gave it a good cleaning and lube and headed straight to the local sporting clay range. Pump is nice and smooth and accuracy was bang on. Two or three times it almost jammed on me but never stopped me from getting the next shot off. I put over a hundred shots off that first day and ended up with a new personal high. I did plenty of research on several guns in this price range and always came back to the weatherby. A good friend has a Remington 870 express and I did have that at the top of my list, but then I shot it ( at least tried to shoot it ) and couldn't believe how rough it was. It jammed up 8 times on ten shots and then jammed a hull two inches up the barrel. The wood stock beautiful and shoulders great. Figure the action will only improve with time and proper maintenance. Skip the Remington and pickup the weatherby and you will not be disappointed. Having three chocks come with it is just a great bonus.

Bought it 10/7, returned it 10/20, now it/s January, and still not returned, repaired, or refunded by Weatherby! Bass Pro not at fault, but Weatheby is!

My wife and daughter got me this as a present. I was pleasantly supprised as to the quality and ruggedness. It performs well in all conditions that I have exposed it to.

I have used 500s and 870s for years and love both. Last year, I needed a replacement gun in a pinch, so I headed out to get another 870 or 500. None available at the time as it was right before christmas. I picked up the PA08. To my surprise - excellent gun!. The action is much tighter than the other two and accuracy is just as good if not better. I was impressed. When hunting dove I find myself wanting to use the Weatherby instead of the others. To say the least, I recommend this gun.

You can use buckshot instead.But if you want slugs, then go into gun parts on the bass pro shops site. Choose all and go to replaceable barrels. Any different gun brand is good.

PA is a (PUMP ACTION) for $299.00SA is a (Semi Automatic) for 449.99.
These guns are new this year and have recieved rave reviews from Gun Digest and other gun magizines. If you have the money and want to drop it for this item I say go for it!
