The Weatherby® PA-08 12 Gauge Synthetic Shotgun features a ventilated top rib and brass bead front sight to aid in target acquisition. The vent rib works to dissipate heat in the barrel, promotes a smoother "swing-thru" and gives the shooter an excellent sight line for acquiring fast-moving targets. Lightweight and durable injection-molded synthetic stock. All metalwork is matte black to reduce glare. This pump action comes with a 3" chamber, 4 + 1 capacity, chrome-lined barrel and three application-specific choke tubes (IC, M, F). Brass bead front sight. Color: Synthetic black.

No regrets! I bought this gun on a whim. I was on my way home from work and I decided to see what the local gun store had in stock (I knew I was going to purchase a gun, just not when, where, or which one.) I had my eye on the Benelli Nova for the LONGEST time, and then the Winchester SXP, but my local store had neither. However, I had held a benelli nova before and I knew how it felt. I had also held and shot a Mossberg 535 and a Beretta Extrema II. All of these were nice guns, but felt clunky and big. As soon as I shouldered the PA-08 though, WOW. It was a perfect fit for me. The action is tight, nothing loose or rattling. It doesn't take 3.5in shells, but that just means I have an excuse not to shoot them! I have shot near 100 rounds through it already and have had no issues. No jams, no misfires. Just pure accuracy. This gun is great. I tested the recoil all the way up to a 3in 00Buck, and although it was heavy, it was quite manageable. As for comparison, it felt better than the Nova in my hands, shot better (and pointed better) than the Mossberg, and fit better than the Extrema. But, regardless of what I say, get out there and hold the gun before you buy it. If it don't fit right, you won't knock any ducks with it. But, don't fret over the price of this gun thinking it's cheap. It's a weatherby, and it has held up to what I've put it through (such as cycling 3 rounds through it as fast as my arm could move). Great, reliable gun, and you can't beat the price! Cheers. June 22, 2013
Nice so far After a lot of browsing and research I ended up with this gun. Seems like good bang for the buck. I once owned a 870 Wingmaster traded it 20 years ago for a pistol. Duh what a mistake. I did however look at the 870 Express, far cry from my Wingmaster, I couldnt bring myself to buy this cheaper version of the Wingmaster. I preferred the PA-08 over the 870 Express. I thought the Pa-08 was Solid with nice action little stiff but figure it will loosen up a little. If I had the extra cash my choice would have been the Browning. I will put the Weatherby to the test this weekend during my fishing and shooting trip. I will get back to you on it's performance against Benelli and Mossberg similar guns in its class . The reason for 4 Stars is from initial overall quality and price. See you in a week. June 11, 2012
Great gun I bought this shotgun about 8 months ago and love it. Cleaning the gun is a breeze and the trigger is easy to remove for cleaning. All of the guns parts are fit perfectly. The balance of the gun is perfect and it swings well. I have been using it for trap shooting and doing well with it. Please check there warranty.....if you have a defect in 5 years they will still fix it! The only problem I had with the gun was its length of pull was way to short for me. And the only way to lengthen it out was to add a slip on recoil pad or an aftermarket spacer. They don't make recoil pads that fit this gun! Weatherby does not make any spacers for a plastic stock! A slip on pad did the trick for me. March 13, 2012
