Walker's Alpha Power Muffs Hearing Enhancement Aid
I shoot a rifle with a muzzle break which makes for a deafening shot. Tried other hearing protection and the delay did not muffle the shot. These worked perfectly and static was minimal. I like that each side has its own control and no exposed wires that can wear. Good price at around $50, worth the extra $ than the ones half priced, which I returned.

Exchanging for another brand
Removed the Power muffs from the packaging,
Installed the supplied batteries and the left
ear amplifier did not work. Changed the right ear
battery with the left ear side. The Right side worked and no change to the left. I should
have read the reviews prior to purchasing this product.

Cheapest Compression Cans
Now, these puppies aren't the sturdiest things around. They're made of plastic and cut-rate circuitry. But they work. They work well, and barring any serious abuse will continue to do so without fail. You don't have to baby them, but I personally wouldn't take them out in the rain on extended hunting trips or anything like that. Plainly speaking, I don't necessarily trust them to hold up to rigorous use, but, let's be serious, that's not what these are for. These beauts are compression mic'ed cans for the cost of regular dumb-muffs.
They work like magic on the range, and you could presumably take them out on a day hunt. Still, they'll never be as solid as a $250 pair of srs biz protectors, and, honestly, you'd be a fool to expect as much. It's like being mad at a VW Beetle because it can't keep pace with a Porche. So, if you're looking for rock solid hearing protection, then buy some, but buy one of these as well, if only for the range bag. At 50 bones, it makes sense to have a pair, if only to loan out.
