POOR construction I took the downrigger out on the lake today. I was a little disappointed. The crank wobbles, and the depth counter was rubs agents the crank, so when you real the weight back up, the counter won't go back to zero, it stays at the depth you set you rig at. And there is not a reset on counter to bring back to zero. The reason is they have pre screwed hole for counter way off. I had to drill new holes in a brand new piece of equipment. VERY POOR CONSTRUCTION to say the least. I would of returned it if I did not order online through Bass Pro. And no store in my area... June 5, 2013
Good product Just used these on a 4 day trip fishing Lake Superior and we very happy with this downrigger. They are compact but tough; one of our seperately purchased Walker releases didn't work correctly (we replaced with a Scotty on day 2), so that we had to crank the downrigger weight up/down frequently and it worked smoothly. Very happy with quality/price. September 6, 2011
