The bag is full of what looks to be actual wood logs, limbs, and splits charred. Some pretty decent sized chunks too. But it also has some dust, and smaller pieces. Lights easy, and burns quite well. I do think there are other similar products that burn longer, and maybe a little hotter. But this is some decent stuff. My biggest complaint though, any why it got 3 stars, is it sparks like a Chinese fireworks factory. It might not be the worst sparking stuff available, but it is pretty bad. If that doesn't bother you, then it should be fine. I chose "Yes" to recommend this because it isn't horrible stuff, it just sparks bad. If the company could solve that issue then this would be easily a 4.5-5 star product.
