I researched many different scopes around the $1000 mark before I decided on a scope. Vortex Viper PST (MRAD) exceeded my expectations from the moment I opened the box. The clarity of the scope is excellent. At the store, the 24 power was difficult to use. Once is was mounted on my 300 Ultra Mag, the magnification was amazing. This was my fourth Vortex product purchased in the last three months and I will buy more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DakotaProne Great Scope Great Price
The scope is incredibly clear along with great and easy to use features. The CRS zero stop allows for fast elevation transitions and the lighted FFP reticle along with the 50mm glass makes low lit shots a breeze. This scope is an incredible product at an incredible price. I put this scope on top of a Remington 700 5R in 300 Win Mag for long range hunting and target shooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by QuickSP01 An unbeatable scope!!!
I was outfitting my Savage 10 HS Precision rifle in 308. My first priority was the scope. My budget was not very big and my goal was to build this rifle for a total of 2500 dollars. After a LOT of research on the net, talking to folks around the competitions, and looking and trying brands like Bushnell, Lupold, Sightron's and Vortex, i decided to go with the Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 in FFP and .1 millradian adjustments for elevation and windage, and also a matching EBR millradian reticle. When combined with a 20 MOA base, the 30 mm tube on this scope will definately give me enough adjustment in elevation to reach out to 1000 meters. I think its the best deal on the market, plus i really wanted a first focal plane scope, and this was the only one affordable in that range. It seemed every other FFP scope was a fortune.
I mounted the base, rings and scope with no issues I was able to also locate and install a Vortex scope mounted anti-cant bubble level.
I arrived to a rather snowed in Borden Range, weather was -12 C, sunny and no wind. I settled in the prone position on the 100 meters. I boresighted the rifle, and was promptly on paper. After a 3 shot group (which was about an inch) i used the EBR reticle to measure my shot from my point of aim. I was about four mills up and two and a half left. I then adjusted the rifle 40 clicks down and 25 right and sent a round. IT HIT DEAD CENTER at point of aim (1 inch square). I sent another 5 rounds to confirm, and every singe shot was within the square. The clicks were really nice and positive, even with gloved hands, i knew i was dialing exactly what i needed.
I was amazed, so with a box of ammo left, i did a box test to test the scopes tracking....boy...it was dead on....It returned to zero and perfermed superbly.
If anybody needs a amazing rifle which will compeete with the best out there, i would not hesitate to recomend a Vortex to anyone

Rated 5 out of 5 by avi8er1 Loaded with features and priced right too!
I chose this optic after careful evaluation of several different brands in the same category. If your looking to break into some long distance hunting or target shooting you will be hard pressed to find a better scope with the same features for the price. But don't stop at the scope, make sure to get a quality set of rings from Vortex as well. Thier tough enough to handle anything you can get into!
