Rated 1 out of 5 by Taylor Scope fell apart on the first range trip
I bought this scope last week, put it on a 300 Blackout, and after 15 rounds at the range, the ocular housing half way detached right behind the power adjustment. Now the whole rear part of the scope including the rear lens wiggles in any direction about an inch. I can't believe that $700 buys you a scope with build quality this poor.

I have a Viper pst and its THE best glass I´v ever had, and I´v had some that are 2-3 times more expensive and are not better in any way. I´v used mine now to shoot geese, ducks, seals, reindeer and foxes out to 470 yards ( fox at dusk ) and this summer will go into testing my self up to 1000 meters I tried to do 980 in wind and missed by a foot down and was happy as I had never even tried to do 500 before and this was a snap shot at a gull sitting on a rock out in the ocean :-)
I´m planing to build a long range rifle in 7mm rem mag or a 6,5ppc (custom all the way) and the glass WILL be a Vortex thats the only sure thing abut my next rifle!!
firstly its for the quality of the products second is the customer service and third but not least its the price..
well my rant is over now so best regards and many happy hunts from Iceland, Bergthor

Rated 5 out of 5 by jimfoster Awsome product!
Took this scope out yesterday and shot out to 600 yards. Shooting the .300 Win Mag with a 190 grain bullet at 3,000 fps. The bullet drop in milrads was exactly as advertised in the manual. At 600 yards I was 15" high, looked at the book, adjusted what it said I needed to and was dead on. It was windy and was a little off there but wasn't doing windage adjustments that day. The CRS turret works as advertised and the lense clarity is AWSOME! A very high quality product that I would highly recommend to any and all shooters who want to do the long range but with less than one grand to set atop their rifles. Even though there was a bit of a mirage because I was shooting on the ground, the focus and parallax adjustments kept me right on target. My 500 yard group measured 1-3/4" and that was battling a 10 mph wind through a canyon. 2 thumbs up for a superb product that will see lots of use this upcoming spring and summer!

Hi!!! Now in English:
"Vortex"is a comparatively young American company, but has already gained popularity in the USA. Production of this firm is often in deficit, even overseas, which in itself is nonsense and is a kind of indicator of a very good ratio price/quality.
First chose the sight in Tikka T3 Lite .223 - what was needed was "universal potentially long range rifle scope - that on any available for .223 caliber distance to hit any target. Often heard the advice:" Take the Night and not worry...", but knight heavier than 1.5 times and 2 times more expensive. I haven ski to go with all these good things, and not only on the shooting range. Eventually picked up Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP MRAD http://www.vortexoptics.com/pr...reticle/reticle why this mod...? Long: 394 mm, weight: 650 gr. Initially thought to take with multiplicity 4-16, but thinking that reduce the multiplicity always possible, and the dimensions of the grid will also shoot out, as FFP model. MRAD grid - more than usual - metric, as per click - 0.1 Mill = 1 cm/100m. Very useful when the grid and drums in one dimension. It is very convenient when the backlight can on/off in one motion, because the backlight levels have position off - and not have to click to 0 to turn it off. Amendments can be entered: 1. Drums 2. Reticle 3. Combined (amendment 2.3 Mila make 0,3Mila by drum - 3 clicks + hold-over 2Mila by reticle) is simply a choice. Backlight for a sight with such optimal ratio: day positions almost no 10th position (there is very little whether we need and will use this sight for dynamic daytime hunts with lights in mode "collimator"), but twilight-night - very much 1-9 position and they allow not to "overligft" goal in low-light conditions. Clicks and sound and touch a clear and "ringing", correct. Zero-Stop purely mechanical and clear: under the flywheel is enclosed by the required number of goals and dryer won't get twisted, respectively, the first zero back is necessary. Quality optics - me does not compare with anything but the soap does not have noticed it - the sight of light-Shine. The grid is readable on the X6, and I not too thick - 4mm/100m. This scope is very comfortable in shooting place? and very usefull in long-range hunting - realy universal soldier.
Sorry for my English.
Russian Vortex fun- Lyubimov Sergei!!!
