Vortex Viper PST Rifle Scope
Great piece of glass!
I put the 1x4 on a 5.56 AR. This rifle is set up for close- medium range, and originally had a red-dot sight on it. This scope is virtually as fast as a red dot at 1x, while adding the capability to range out as well. The glass and hardware on it rival the quality of an optic in the $1000+ price range. This is simply one awesome product, and Vortex got it right!

Everything I need in a scope
First off, this scope is just about the best bang for your buck scope you can buy in this category. Ive had the scope about a month now and it has already taken 3 nice bucks and a doe. My father and I both made our longest shots ever to date with with scope a few weeks ago on 2 nice mule deer, mine at 642yards and his at 490 yds. Both bucks dropped in their tracks, all on video. It tracks perfectly, gathers light great, and the illuminated reticle is also nice and crisp. Like have 10 brightness levels you can choose from. Nice to have hunting where it's legal! Thankfully it is where I live, so it comes in handy when needed. Glad I made the purchase, have been very pleased so far. I love my Vortex scopes!

Incredible scope, super clear glass
Purchasing this scope was a well researched decision. I looked around quite a bit at Leopold, Zeiss, Millet, Sightron....even dabbled at Nightforce when I realized that this Vortex had incredible features with glass as clear as the Leopold Mark IV; but, with features that belonged in the Nightforce price range. I did get the MRAD version after reading much up on it. It's very intuitive. Holds zero shot after shot after shot.
I shoot 3/4 MOA groups on my Remington 700 SPS varmint in 308 resting on a factory stock, and do so partially in thanks to this clear glass.
Plus when it comes down to it, this scope will last a lifetime...seriously, that's what the warranty guarantees and no other company can even come close in the optics industry to touching this. So I would NOT hesitate to buy this scope again or recommend it to anyone.
One piece of advice I can offer though if you wish to shoot 1000+ yards all the time, your going to want to get the Razor HD which has a TON of elevation adjustment. This scope is fine for shooting anything 50-1000yd IMO.

Great scope and a great company!!
Back in September I ordered a 6-24x50 PST ERB-1 MRAD; the EBR-2C was backordered. The service was great and shipping was fast. I am pleased with all aspects of the scope. The mechanical zero was so close that I zeroed in 3 shots and only required .3 mils of elevation and .2 mils of windage. The pictured group was fired on my second range day while it was pouring rain and a light breeze at 100 yards. The scope was cryastal clear in thses condition, even at 24x. It is mounted on my PWS Mk216 7.62 with a Vortex 30mm cantilever mount, shooting 168 gr HPBT Remington Match ammo. This is a great product and company.
