Rated 1 out of 5 by whitey would not hold a zero on two different scopes
myself and a friend both purchased the viper hs-lr about a year ago. we both mounted them on 300wsm rifles. the glass clarity was "ok" at best, but was good enough. the main issue with these scopes was that both of them were sighted in perfectly at 200 yards. when checked again approximately a month later, both had come out of zero by 6-7 inches!!! This scope cost my son a 115 inch coues deer. not acceptable! we have both since switched brands! I am back to Leupold and he went to Nightforce.

Rated 5 out of 5 Gorgeous precision optic
Purchased this for my first rifle. Savage B Mag. Put an aftermarket thumbhole stock on and mounted the scope. Beautiful set up. Dead accurate. I love the manuals that give you the BDC breakdown for different rounds. Can't wait to try and stretch that .17 wsm out to the 650 yard mark (last hash on the reticle).

Rated 5 out of 5 by DevilDogHog good scope for the BDC
I would recommend this power for the BDC, especially if your using a lower powered rifle that has a lot more drop to its round at 400 yards or less.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DevilDogHog clearence not an issue
The only reason I havnt given this a 5 star is that I don't feel the BDC should be used at a 4-16 powered scope.
