Vortex Viper HD Binoculars - Roof Prism
The real deal !
You won't mind the $600 after you hunt with these . Have had Nikon monarch for years and never new what I was missing . I get another 30 min of hunting in morning and evening and the clarity is off the hook .
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE TRI POD ADAPTER
I use these binos on a tri pod and it adds another dimension . I see way more deer off of the tripod and the bracket goes on and off in a second and you can snap the spotting scope right on . The tri pod allowed me to slow down and look in one area longer without any arm or shoulder fatigue !

Great replacement for my Diamondbacks!
I have been using a set of Diamondback 10x42's for a couple of years and have been pretty happy with them. They were clear and a lot better than my Bushnells for sure, but I decided to upgrade and give my wife the hold set and I chose well. The price is a lot more affordable than the competitors and the quality is definitely not lacking. I do a lot of hunting out west and looking at ridge lines a mile away is common place, colors are true and edge to edge clarity is awesome. You should know that these are not going to replace a set of Swarovski SLC's(look at the Razor HD for that) but they will hold their own and do anything that you need from them.

Viper 10x42 HD
So I have been using these for a little over a month and I am still astounded.. I can glass right next to my dad whose using Bushnell elites and I can pick out details he can't at further distances to boot. I compared these to the Zeiss and yes for me the Zeiss was a little clearly... Maybe $50 clearer but not $200 clearer. Additionally what got me to bite was the warranty. While Zeiss offers a similar warranty the big difference for me was speed. I'm sure if I damaged a Zeiss product they would warranty it but how long would it take. Plus would they warranty it if you damaged it?? Very happy with my binos.. Can't wait for them to start producing lightweight scopes

Best Bang For The Buck
Needed a new pair of binos, something with a little more magnification than what I had. Decided on the Viper HD 10x42. Very happy with my purchase. Great optical quality, and didn't break the bank. I like the locking occular focus. My other binos did not have this, and I can tell you it was a pain to have to keep re-focusing the occular if someone else used them, or it got bumped. A time saver for sure. The rubberized finish on the Vipers is nice. Not slippery when your hands are sweaty. The Vipers are nice and sharp, doesn't feel like I'm getting eye strain when glassing for an extended period. I would not hesitate to recommend these to a friend.
