Rated 4 out of 5 by jasonAZ82 Good adaptor
I have been using this adaptor for the past year and half. I like the speed and ease of getting my binos on and off the tripod. It is very steady and secure. I have a ballhead and have forgotton to lock it, turned away for a second and the head fall straight back and the binos didnt come out. The post doesnt stick out to far on 50mm lens binoculars enough to notice while on a harness. I think it might be a little annoying on a pair of 42mm binos but I have not tried for certain yet. The seat has rattled loose a few times on me. Its not a huge deal but you have to keep an eye on it. Loc tite would most likely remedy that problem. The post can come loose if you are moving the eye pieces open and close to much. Not deal breakers but when they get just a little bit loose the binos can become shaky. Overall its small, fast and is great for the price.

I was skeptical after attaching it to my 10x42 binoculars since the stem still stuck out below my binoculars and appeared that it would poke/irritate me while hiking. I gave it a try anyway for a long day of hunting and was surprised that it wasn't even noticeable. I would like this better if there was a mechanism to lock the stem into the baseplate so that the binoculars stay in while moving/making adjustments to the tripod.

I got one of these to use on a high country hunt in Wyoming. We sat behind our glass all day every day for a week. I used them on my Viper 10x42's and a High Country tripod. It works perfect. You can leave them on your binos all the time and the tripod plate attachment works perfect. It is very sturdy. Get one, you wont regret it.
