Vortex SPARC II Tactical/Hunting Red Dot Sight
Great accessory to cover your glass
I purchased the ARD with my SPARC to mount on my AR-15. I have not shot it yet as Im sill waiting on my lower to come in. However I did mount the scope and ARD on the upper to check it out. The ARD definitely hides any glare on the glass and will do a great job protecting the glass from scratches. It is a little weird looking through the honeycomb of the ARD but I think it will go unnoticed with use.

Good bang for your hard earned dollar.
I purchased this optic for my Dominion Arms Socom 18 M-14 so that I can mount it on a Ulitmak handguard rail. When I took it home I was pleased to see that two batteries were included (one only needs one battery to make the unit operational), instructions, 2x magnifier, cleaning cloth, mounting blocks, two sets of different height screws and two allen keys. It is well presented and the instructions have been proof read (this product is made in China). The elevation and windage dials turn easily and the "clicks" are positive and uniform. The red dot is clear and round and like any red dot optic flare out at the brighter settings. The drawbacks are; the 2X magnifier decreases the viewing area in the optic, the brightness settings are limited and I found it difficult to dim it enough for low light situations. The NV setting is a single setting that can not be adjusted, as a plus, one can turn on the NV setting and with low light the red dot can be barely seen. The viewing area is limited on the outside by the battery case and the control panel and on the inside, the six o'clock position is partially blocked by the dot emitter and finally, the lens cap "bikini cover" pulls too tight and causing a poor seal on the front cap. Overall, this is a good product for a very good price with a great warranty, a unconditional lifetime warranty.
