Vortex Razor HD Angled Spotting Scope
You can't go wrong.
I have recently upgraded from an inexpensive spotting scope to the Vortex Razor HD 20-60x85, and I couldn't be happier. Although It is unfair to compare this scope to my previous scope, I've had the opportunity to use a friend's high dollar scope the last few years and I can't tell the difference in quality. The clarity, particularly in low light conditions is excellent. The view is crisp and the dual focus feature with the fine focus adjustment make it easy to dial in on your subject. I would certainly compare this scope to the other high dollar scopes that I've had experience with, and at nearly half the price, how can you go wrong?

Love this spotting scope!
Never have owned a nice spotting scope but have used several. Decided to go with the Razor HD due to the reviews. I've been very impressed! I like the quick and fine focus knobs, the rubberized coating, and the optic clarity. After my first trip out I did have to send it in for warranty because where the objective end and eyepiece end connect in the center had a very small amount of play. I was really impressed with the warranty department. I told them that I had a hunt coming up really soon and they expedited it for me and I had it back in about a week. Really impressed with the scope and the customer service. I highly recommend Vortex Optics!

Purchased the scope back in February 2014 and have used it during Bullseye pistol matches, F-class midrange, and long range 1000yd competitions. This scope does everything that is tasked with, to include spotting pellets at 10meters. I really wish a rotating mounting band was incorporated into this model as it would be easier to use with the 45 degree eyepiece. Am also waiting on other more specialized eyepieces to be introduced like the bigger Razors have; MOA ranging, wide angle, etc.

Awesome Compact Scope
I recently compared this scope side by side to a full size Nikon 16-48x60 scope which should gather more light due to the larger objective. There was no comparison, the Razor HD blew the Nikon away. I was glassing two large bull elk approximately 3/4 of a mile away in poor light at dusk. Even with the lower power magnification I could make out the details of the antlers much better through the Razor HD, the Nikon was very dark and showed much less detail. This scope is awesome and the size and weight are perfect for back country hunters. Plus the Vortex warranty gives you the ultimate peace of mind when making an investment in glass you plan on having forever.
