by GearReview2014 Buyer Beware!
Purchased these boots for AT Trail Hikes in N. GA.
Boots were very stiff and have not yielded to attempts to break-in by daily wear around town.
1st hike in boots about 5 miles, boots very stiff during elevation climbs, since not flex is apparent from heel to toe box the boots tend to dig into your ankles on uphill treks.
Boot began cracking where leather meets the sole just behind toe box area. This happened after 2nd 5 mile hike on AT. Boot Sole then failed while I was wearing them doing yard work. Contacted Vasque, they said one year warranty with receipt and return to Bass Pro. I explained the failure and the fact that others had similar failures listed in reviews. NO JOY, Vasque could care less that they have an Issue.
BUY MERRILL THEY WILL LAST AND FELL GREAT AFTER 150 MILES ON THE AT

Rated 1 out of 5 by MfehlPeoria Worst boots I've ever owned
I have had these boots for about a year now and they are no longer in a wearable condition. I purchased them based on other reviews stating that they wore these boots everyday for work, as do I, but they didn't work out as expected.
From the beginning the boots were very stiff and I can't say that there was ever a time when they felt good on my feet, after about two months I had to replace the laces, not a good sign. At about ten months the souls began to crack making them no longer waterproof, and now after a little over a year the souls are split all the way across.
I have owned several pairs of everyday boots and these are by far the WORST! I hope if you decide to buy you have better luck than me.

First of all you make it too hard to write a review. Why do I need a nickname? I don't have a nickname and I will never remember this one.
I liked these boots at first, but after 2 years the soles are cracked and split. They are no longer waterproof and are now unsealable. The rest of the boots are is reasonable good shape. I paid good money for these boots and think they should have given me better service.

Rated 5 out of 5 Great Boots!
I have had these boots for 2.5 years now, and I love them. They are my favorite shoes, actually. I have extremely wide feet, and these are simply fantastic in the wide.
The shoe laces are not the best, they split while I was on the trail, but they were easily replaced.
I will be honest, I did not take the best care of them, and the leather dried, and part of them next to the rubber slightly cracked. They are still waterproof as of two days ago, when I was standing in about 4 inches of water. I have washed them and waterproofed them since.
Also, one of my first hikes with them I removed them for a river crossing. Foolishly, I dropped them into the river. I poured the water out of them, and in 15 minutes they were dry.
Bravo Vasque! These were so great, my younger brother bought a pair.
