I fish in -20 C on Lake Huron, so for you southern fisher(men/women) thats -4 F. In order to get to my fishing hole it requires me to push my boat up to 1km (0.6 miles) across the ice to get in to open water. As you can imagine we work up quite a sweat. With previous types of cotton/wool undergarments we would chill down rather quickly however the fishing was worth the cold. With these I have never had a chill. I get home after pulling the boat back in and sweating some more to find myself dry. These wick great and keep the chill off. I'd recommend these to anyone who fishes cold weather or finds themselves getting chilled in damp conditions. Only downside, after washing them repetitively (50+ times) they do get fuzzy and loose some of their ability (however 50+ washes with cotton and they look like the moths had them). I'd recommend them absolute, any day fishing is a good day, any day fishing in comfort is an great day.

Best pair of leggings out there. Have worn them in warmer temps and since they breath I didn't get to hot like cotton leggings. Work excellent in the cold!

I've had the same pair of these for three seasons now. I suspect they'll last at least another three. They're very warm and durable. They may be more expensive than the basic cotton alternative, but they are far superior.
