I tried on countless pairs of women's boots, and they all were either too tight ( I have Wide Feet), or too large. I was so desperate that I even attempted to find a pair of hunting boots in the men's section, but they didn't carry the size 6 (in men's), that I needed for my women's size 8 foot.
A Bass Pro Shop Associate, who was helping me, came out from the stockroom with a pair of these boots in a size 8 (These boots were not on the Display Wall at the time of my visit). They were gorgeous, they were insulated, and very importantly, waterproof! The size 8 was a bit on the tight side, so the Associate suggested that I go up one size (size 8.5).
That size 8.5 worked out PERFECT! I went hunting about a week later, and wore them everyday (for 4 days total). There was no "break-in period", they were super comfortable, light, had great ankle support, and even past the waterproof test when we walked through multiple creeks. They kept my feet warm and dry the whole time I wore them. I have wide feet, and my feet tend to get a lot of blisters with most shoes that I buy. These boots were a little pricy, but well worth it when you consider how often you will be wearing them, and the amount of physical pain you won't have to endure. I've even worn them with my regular socks, and they still feel comfy.
I would highly recommend these to any woman who is desperately looking for comfortable, insulated, and waterproof boots. I Recommend buying 1/2 size up if you have wide feet, like I do. HAPPY HUNTING :)
