Redesigned with padded seats and even more floor space, Uncle Buck's 9' Pond Prowler is the perfect boat for quietly reaching those hard-to-reach fishing spots in total comfort. Constructed from rugged, high-impact ABS plastic, the Pond Prowler has internal ''cut-to-fit'' block foam for flotation and a wood-reinforced, ribbed floor for strength. The easy-to-maneuver Pond Prowler's ''deep rib'' hull ensures the boat remains balanced even in rougher water with two anglers constantly shifting their weight. Incredibly easy to transport, the 9' Pond Prowler weighs only 115 lbs. and is 48'' wide which is the same width of a full-size truck's bed between the wheel-wells. Pond Prowlers are pre-wired for a trolling motor and are outfitted with corrosion-resistant aluminum seat frames, padded folding swivel fishing seats, molded in trays and the rear metal transoms are reinforced with wood.

I have had this boat for 7 years i also have taken to the everglades and slayed some big monster bass this boat is very stable and very easy to load and unload in any truck. as for the people with having cracks the only reason it would crack is because you either left it in the sun with no cover or picked it up by the cleats those are not for picking up the boat that is why they have grooves under the front and back. this boat is affordable, stable, fun and my little girl lights up with a smile every time we hit the water to go fishing or for a cruise and yes you can take it anywhere. p.s. take care of your investment or gift what i did was i hook it to a fence side ways then tarp it or you can put it in the garage side wall and camping trips are cool to take your prowler.

I use this boat in a 10 acre pond and it is the best thing I have bought in a long time. Two men can fish comfortably all day on the padded swivel seats. I don't have any problem with stability and the trolling motor pushes the boat along well. Being in a smaller area also demands common sense in casting so you don't get to close to your partners head. I haven't had any problems with my friends because I warn them to watch any wild casts that they may try. The Pond prowler is well constructed and I sometimes stand up to stretch when fishing alone. I keep it covered at the pond just in case the sun would harm the finish. Iv'e heard that it wouldn't but I like to take care of my investments. You can't go wrong with this boat! I also own a Bass Tracker and a canoe.

The pond prowler is a great boat and is great for getting around a small pond to a medium size lake, You must have patients it is not made for speed but is great for trolling!
You cannot flip it easily and is extremely durable.

Ive been debating on getting the 10' or the 9'. Seems the 10' has the middle storage compartment AND rod holders. If I were to get the 9' would I be able to add/mount some rod holders to it? And what other accessories can I get if anyDetails:Â

So, the item works with a 5HP outboard motor. Therefore, if we convert it takes one horsepower to approximately equal to 15 pounds of thrust. Look for Approx 75 lbs thrust trolling motor. I hope this helps. Thanks!Details:Â
Does anyone know where I can buy a small boat cart that can transport thisboat from the pickup to the edge of the water. Where I fish does not have a boat ramp, and I have to haul the boat about 75 feet to the water.Answers

Im a big guy and will be in this boat alone. how sturdy is it as far as flipping over?Answers

The 48" beam width should help to make the boat fairly stable and the design of the boat lends it much to the same way a SOT kayak is. However, always be sure to wear a life preserver as accidents may happen at any time in any boat.Answers

Yes, two people can fish comfortably. I share the second seat with my wife. In the middle of the 9' Pond Prowler, I built a small bench to hold my tackle box and 5 rod holders that store my poles vertically. There's plenty of room for a small cooler, net, extra clothing, utility box, and the oar.Answers

It has two on the front and two on the back. Be careful how much tension you put on the rope or chain to winch the boat up. The eyelets can separate.Details:Â
I already own a small pond boat simular to the small pontoon style, but I need to replace it. 15 years old and now leaks because of sun rot. My question is this. I am looking at the uncle buck's version of the 9 ft. pond boat and also at the pontoon version at the same time, since they are both priced at nearly the same, and wonder which of the two boats is faster with the same trolling motor, be it 30lb thrust, or otherwise? I am almost persuaded to buy the uncle bucks version over the other style because it has storage compartments which the pontoon design doesn't have.
