Uncle Buck's 8' Pond Prowler is the perfect boat for quietly reaching those hard-to-reach fishing spots. Constructed from rugged, high-impact ABS plastic, the Pond Prowler has internal ''cut-to-fit'' block foam for flotation and a wood-reinforced, ribbed floor for strength. The easy-to-maneuver Pond Prowler's ''deep rib'' hull ensures the boat remains balanced even in rougher water with two anglers constantly shifting their weight. Incredibly easy to transport, the 8' Pond Prowler weighs 100 lbs. and is 48'' wide which is the same width of a full-size truck's bed between the wheel-wells. The Pond Prowler is pre-wired for a trolling motor and outfitted with corrosion-resistant, aluminum seat frames, folding swivel fishing seats, molded in trays and wood-reinforced rear metal transoms.

The boat has no handles with which to lift it up, it has only eye bolts at the bow and stern end. No way to pick it up to load it unless you use the eye bolts . The fuse was not large enough in the pre wiring to handle my trolling motor. It blew on the first time i used it, had to paddle back to shore.

I love this little boat its really stable side to side you can stand up in it, the seats swivel 360 degrees so it makes for easier fishing and its really lite me and my girlfriend load into the back of the truck with ease

I bought this boat about one year ago for use on northern forest lakes where a gas powered motor was prohibited. It was a great purchase! The boat is light enough to be loaded and unloaded by just one person. There is plenty of room for your tackle, a small ice chest, and two adults. Add a Prowler electric trolling motor to it and this boat will run you and your fishing partner around any small lake or pound all day long. The boat is very stabile, even in winds and mid size waves. My only negative comment about the boat is that the per-wired, female end of the trolling motor plug is located at the bow of the boat rather then the transom. It would be a great added feature to have a second plug installed at the transom, thus permitting the owner to better balance to the boat by choosing to separate the battery from the trolling motor, and still be able to attach the trolling motor to the transom.

I use it to tend the river bank along my property. It is very stabil. It has a very shallow draft so I can float about in just inches of water.

OK, I am trying to decide between the 8' and 10'. The advantage with the 8' is, it probably can fit in the back of my minivan with the seats folded down (a 4X8 sheet of plywood fits). Plus, I could handle it by myself. The 10' obviously gives you more room.. Any thoughts would be appreciated!Answers
